My main mode of getting around Beijing is subway, bus, taxi or walking. Using the subway in Beijing is pretty good and dare I say, better than London subway as it’s more modern but London has more lines so you can pretty much get anyway in London. Whereas in Beijing, the exits are more scattered so you have to do a lot of walking to get where you want to go. One thing I do hate about subway is people don’t you get off first. I mean dude, how you gonna get on if you don’t let us off first?! fail!
When I tell people I work in Online Marketing, I often get asked the question, “so what exactly do you do??” Hopefully after reading this entry, I will never get asked this question again. Ok so I work for Morodo Group and we have this mobile app called MO-Call. MO-Call is free to download and is supported on a lot of phones such as Android, iPhones, BlackBerry, Windows Mobile etc. In a nut shell, MO-Call basically allows you to make low cost local and international calls, SMS/texts and VoIP calls. It’s a really cool app if you have family or friends living a different country. It’s really handy for me as I used to use my O2 sim card when ever I had to call home and it cost a fortune.

So I have been in Beijing, China since September 2009, after leaving my previous job as an E-Marketing Executive at StoneShot. The team at StoneShot were awesome and I learned a lot about website design, online marketing and what was needed to run successful campaigns. I always wanted to go to China and do a little travelling so when the opportunity presented itself, I took it.
Here’s a little run down of what I have been doing since September 2009:
